Mudgee Arts Precinct is proud to present David Hockney: Temporary Spaces by renowned international artist, David Hockney, the second exhibition in a two-year loan as part of the Australian Government's Sharing the National Collection initiative from the National Gallery of Australia.

Sydney graphic designer and photographer Christopher Dingle returns to the Holtermann Museum with his photographic colourisation. The theme of this exhibition is "the faces in the crowd" - an exploration of the people lurking in the Holtermann Collection photographs from 1872 in and around Gulgong.
To coincide with the 150th anniversary of the railway arriving in Bathurst, Chifley Home presents Tracks to Power: Ben Chifley’s political genesis. This exhibition looks at Chifley’s work with his union, and his role as a leader in the community. His later political reputation was built upon his analytical and leadership skills, alongside his work for his community, all developed during his time as a locomotive driver.

Enter a world of comedy, chaos and calamity in 'Honk! Untitled Goose Exhibition', an exhibition that dives into the making of global-hit videogame 'Untitled Goose Game', by Melbourne based game developers House House.
Orange Regional Gallery is delighted to present Nike Savvas: Purple Haze, a major new exhibition featuring previous works alongside a spectacular new iteration of Savvas’ acclaimed Atomic series.
Co-commissioned by Artspace and Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, As Above, So Below by Maddison Gibbs centres on the firewheel tree (Stenocarpus sinuatus), a medicinal plant with a long history of use in Aboriginal healing practices. In Gibbs’ interpretation, the flower also evokes a campfire or gathering place – a site for storytelling, ceremony and connection.
As we mark 50 years of NAIDOC, this exhibition reminds us that our future is built on the knowledge, strength, and resilience of our Female Elders. Their stories, wisdom, and culture continue to guide and inspire the next generation, ensuring these legacies are carried forward with pride.
This collaborative reflection not only honours the creativity and messages of past decades but also empowers our students to carry these inspirations forward. We are proud of their thoughtful engagement and look forward to seeing how they will continue to express these values in their journey ahead.
LUSTRE: Contemporary Artists in Greece & Crete is a compelling group exhibition presented at Mudgee Arts Precinct from 24 July to 20 September 2026. Bringing together leading contemporary artists from Australia and New Zealand, the exhibition reflects on shared histories between nations through a deeply personal and creative lens.
Inspired by the 1941 Greece and Crete campaigns during the Second World War, the project follows a two-week journey undertaken by participating artists in October 2025. Retracing the path of renowned Australian war artist William Dargie, they travelled from Northern Greece to Crete, engaging directly with the landscapes, historic battlefields and present-day communities shaped by these events.

A collaboration with the historian Rachel Franks looking at the life of NSW's longest-serving and only noseless hangman, Robert "Nosey Bob" Howard.
Transformations: Image, Time & Landscape surveys 27 years of work by Hill End-based artist Nicole Welch. Throughout her career and across mediums, her work is rich with symbolism, tension, and transformation and explores the relationships between landscape, the body, time, and memory. Welch creates works that are at once visually beautiful and conceptually challenging.

Fiona Davies’ exhibition Counting Down brings together photography, painting and installation in what was probably the
parcels office at Cowra Railway Station.
In its former life the station witnessed many comings and goings, with all the train movements being counted down.
Davies looks at another public institution, the hospital, to consider the impact of counting down – until your appointment, until the anaesthesia knocks you out or even until you take the first step to go through the main entrance.

Bushdancing & Live Country Music
There's nothing quite like a night in a country hall, full of live country music, laughter and a floor full of dancers. The Country Dancehall Project rolls into Malachi Gilmore Hall for a night that takes everything great about a classic Aussie bush dance and gives it a modern country kick. Calling the dances is "Padre" John Healey, who's been at it for 40 years. He'll walk everyone through the classics, the Heel n Toe Polka, the Gallopede, the Hokey Pokey and a Virginia Reel with Strip the Willow, so grandparents, grandkids and everyone in between can take a turn on the floor together. But instead of Waltzing Matilda between dance sets, you'll get live music from the next wave of Aussie country talent. Come see how the Country Dancehall Project is keeping the bushdance culture alive and kicking.
