Street Dreams returns to Forbes for the second year, inviting the community to dive into an enchanting water-themed celebration of art, light and performance.
On Friday 25 September 2026, Victoria Park, Harold and Court Streets will be transformed into a flowing, luminous underwater realm.
Inspired by oceans, rivers and the movement of water, Street Dreams 2026 will unleash a sensory experience filled with shimmering lights, immersive soundscapes, aquatic-inspired art installations, live performances and vivid colour.
From drifting light forms, rippling projections, music and movement, the festival will ignite imagination and invite audiences to experience the public space in a different way.
Forbes Shire Mayor, Phyllis Miller OAM said the inaugural Street Dreams Festival in 2025 set the stage for an even more ambitious event in 2026.
“Last year, thousands of people turned out for Street Dreams, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm for accessible, creative experiences.”

The 2026 Street Dreams Festival is the second year of a three-year series that aims to strengthen social connection, support local creatives, and enhance the vibrancy of the Forbes community through inclusive, accessible arts programming.
Street Dreams Festival is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW. Council was successful in receiving $108,550 through the program. The initiative is designed to reimagine public streets as lively, welcoming spaces that support local businesses and community connection.

Food and beverage vendors and market stallholders are now invited to be part of Street Dreams 2026, with Expressions of Interest closing on 31 July 2026.
