The National Motor Racing Museum’s popular Father’s Day event on Mount Panorama will this year be held one week later to accommodate on-track activity the weekend of Father’s Day.

Dubbed the ‘I can’t Believe It’s Not Father’s Day’ event and taking place Sunday 13 September, attendees can look forward to all the usual activities, including free entry for dads and father figures to the museum, passenger laps in the museum’s replica cars and a look at an all-new special exhibition celebrating the incredible career of the King of the Mountain, Peter Brock.

Keep an eye on Council’s social media for all the details, with Bathurst Mayor, Cr Robert Taylor, remarking the event will be as action-packed as ever.

“It might not be held directly on Father’s Day this year, but the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Father’s Day event will be just as memorable! So, tell dad you’ve got plans and mark Sunday 13 September in your diary for a car-obsessed day out.

“Offering free entry to the Motor Racing Museum for all fathers and father figures, it’s a great opportunity to browse the exhibits on display and experience the fantastic Immersive Room for a taste of the speed, sound and excitement of racing at Mount Panorama. Or, better yet, book dad in for a lap around The Mount in one of the museum’s many spectacular replica cars for the ultimate Father’s Day experience,” said Mayor Taylor.

Bookings for a replica race car lap will open on Wednesday 19 August. To book, contact 6332 1872 to secure your spot on The Mount.

The National Motor Racing Museum is located at Murray’s Corner, Mount Panorama and is open 9am-4:30pm, closed Tuesdays.
