IMAGinE Awards for the region

At the annual IMAGinE Awards, presented by Museums & Galleries of NSW (26 November), Bathurst Regional Art Gallery’s Dhuluny: the war that never ended won in two categories: exhibition projects and engagement programs.

The exhibition was an initiative of Wiradyuri Traditional Owners Central West Aboriginal Corporation and developed with the Wiradyuri Community to commemorate 200 years since the 1824 Declaration of Martial Law in Bathurst.

Orange Regional Museum received a Highly Commended in the engagement projects category for the 2025 History Futures, a program developed for high school history students in years 9-12, and showcases study pathways and careers for those interested in history, the humanities and culture.

Bathurst Visitor Information Centre also had success last week receiving  Gold in the category of ‘Visitor Information Servicing’ at the 2025 NSW Tourism Awards and being inducted into the NSW Tourism Awards Hall of Fame.
