Public Art Launch of two big new works of public art in Orange

Wednesday 27 March 2024

Zanny Begg, Dancing with Bees
Exterior of Orange Civic Theatre, 135 Byng Street, Orange.
The Arts and Sciences meet in Dancing with Bees, a groundbreaking artwork by Zanny Begg that invites viewers to reconsider our fragile ecosystem and notions of time though dance and the use of visually striking imagery of local bee species. The two screens work as a clock and are designed to keep real time.

Daniel Templeman, Aperture
Laneway at 215 Summer Street
Aperture is a site-responsive sculptural light installation consisting of 40 natural and artificial light elements installed in an undulating pattern that creates a sense of movement along the laneway.
