Recent road trips: Peak Hill

Some of the Arts OutWest team last week were in Parkes, Forbes and Peak Hill for various meetings.

Nicola (Comms Projects Admin) shared this update:

On a road trip with Kylie and Steven to visit Forbes, Parkes and Peak Hill, we ended up on the absolutely fabulous balcony of Peak Hill’s Carrington Hotel with Peak Hill’s Judith, Dave and Susie. The immense work put in supporting the restoration and renovation of this worthy venue is extraordinary. Watch this space to see what arts and cultural possibilities may come to fruition.

Across the road is a must stop at the Peak Hill Information Centre which quadruples as the Open Cut Gallery with local arts and crafts, the Open Cut Museum and an Antiques and Collectables market too. And it is all run and cared for by volunteers. Thanks for the warm welcome Kay and Sue.

I am overflowing with updates for the Culture Maps Central NSW website.
