Enjoy this clip from Totem Skateboarding, who recently completed the new murals on the John Lomas Skate Park. Their focus was to bring the skate park to life through bold splashes of colour and imagery driven by the people use the space. Snakes were a recurring theme that came up in the community consultation with skaters. They found that a series of snakes painted throughout the skate park would be perfect ‘signposts’ for the design’s built-in guidelines. The artists took inspiration from the Highland Copperhead snake which is native to the Orange region.
